The friars Perarc , Sderad and Cutra , named in the oldest layer of the Podlažice necrology and who died after 1160, are considered to be the founders of the place.
Zderaz, which was laid out as a forest hoof village with 13 whole hooves, was first mentioned in a document in 1398. After the destruction of the Podlažice monastery by the Hussites in 1421, the village came under the rule of Litomyšl . The captain of the Chrudim district, Zdeniek Kostka from Postupice , had a new castle built at Boží Dům as the dominant center between 1450 and 1465 , which he called Nový hrad. In the middle of the 16th century the Žatecky von Weikersdorf acquired the rule Nový hrad and held it until 1580. The oldest land register with the owners of the 13 hooves dates from 1563, seven of the farms were exempt from robots. From 1580 the rule belonged to Boogers von Lobkowitz and from 1604 to Barons von Trautson . The land register from 1629 shows 17 properties for Zderaz; including 12 farmers with horses, three gardeners and two chalupners . Bishop Johann Joseph von Trautson sold the Nový hrad estate to Anna Barbara Harbuval-Chamaré born in 1749 . Baroness von Sannig. Under the Counts of Harbuval-Chamaré, the old village center experienced a significant expansion. Between 1774 and 1477, Neuschloß Castle was built as the new mansion .
In 1835, the in consisted Chrudim District village located Zderas of 70 houses in which 438 people, including twelve Protestant families lived. The Catholic parish was Prosetsch ; the Akatholics belonged to the Prosetsch pastorate. Until the middle of the 19th century, Zderas was always subject to Neuschloß .
After the abolition of patrimonial formed Zderaz / Zderas a municipality in the judicial district Skutsch . From 1868 the community belonged to the political district Hohenmauth .
