history

Sobětuchy was first mentioned in writing in 1272, when Zeman Boleslav von Sobětuch appeared as a witness on a document. The village had been divided since the Middle Ages; one part belonged to the St. Georg monastery , the other to the Wilmzell monastery . After the Hussite Wars, both shares came to secular masters. One part was added to the Stolany estate and united with this together in 1608 with the Heřmanmiestetz rule .

The other part of Sobětuchy became subject to the Pochobrad estate. Burian Pochobradsky von Pochobrad sold the property in 1558 to Oswald von Schönfeld , who a little later sold it to the city of Chrudim . In 1694 August Norbert Woraschitzky von Pabienitz bought the Pochobrad estate, in 1717 it was auctioned by Joseph Franz von Schönfeld and attached to the Nassaberg rulership .

In 1835 the village of Sobětuch , located in the Chrudim district , consisted of 20 houses in which 154 people, including a Protestant family, lived. 12 of the houses belonged to the Nassaberg rule and 8 to the allodial rule Heřmanmiestetz. In the Nassaberg part there was a meierhof. The parish was Chrudim . Until the middle of the 19th century, Sobětuch remained divided between the lords of Nassaberg and Heřmanmiestetz.

After the abolition of patrimonial Sobětuchy formed from 1849 a district of the municipality of Stolany in the judicial district of Chrudim . From 1868 the village belonged to the political district of Chrudim . In 1869 Sobětuchy had 165 inhabitants. In 1900 there were 191 people living in the village, in 1910 there were 193. In 1914 Sobětuchy and Pouchobrady broke away from Stolany and formed the municipality of Sobětuchy. In 1930 Sobětuchy had 267 inhabitants. In 1961 Sobětuchy was merged with Stolany to form a municipality Sobětuchy-Stolany, which from July 1, 1966, was named Sobětuchy. In 1974 Rabštejnská Lhota, Rabštejn and Smrkový Týnec were incorporated. In 1990 Stolany broke away from Sobětuchy; also in 1998 Rabštejnská Lhota, Rabštejn and Smrkový Týnec.
