The village had belonged to the Lords of Lichtenburg since the 13th century . The village was first mentioned in writing in 1257 in a document by Smil von Lichtenburg, on which Marquardus de Clessicz drew as an assessor. Another mention of Klessicz , Hermanovo Miesto and Mrdic comes from the year 1325, when the sons of Ctibor von Lichtenburg shared their father's property. In the 14th century, the Lords of Mrdice acquired part of Klešice and added it to their Heřmanův Městec estate. Later the whole village became subordinate to Heřmanův Městec. In 1448 there are three mills in Klešice. The following owners from 1457 to 1538 included the Lords Trčka von Lípa , from 1552 the Andiel von Ronowec, from 1596 the Lords von Zierotin , from 1611 the Berka von Dubá , from 1661 the Counts von Sporck , from 1798 the Barons von Greiffenclau and from 1828 the princes Kinsky . Main sources of income in this period were agriculture, fish farming, viticulture and blacksmithing; For a while an iron hammer was operated in Klešice.
In 1835 the village of Kleschitz or Klessice , located in the Chrudim district at the outflow of the Kleschitz pond, consisted of 38 houses in which 326 people lived. There was a manorial farm and three mills in the village. The single-layer Neu-Daubrawa ( Nová Doubrava ) and the pheasant keeper's house were consolidated at Kleschitz . Between Kleschitz and Heřmanmiestetz , the Heřmanmiestetz manorial pheasantry expanded like a meadow. The parish was Heřmanmiestetz. Until the middle of the 19th century, Kleschitz remained subject to the allodial rule of Heřmanmiestetz.
After the abolition of patrimonial formed Klešice / Kleschitz 1849 with the hamlet Nakle a municipality in the judicial district Chrudim . From 1868 the municipality belonged to the political district of Chrudim . Between 1897 and 1899 the railway line Heřmanův Městec – Borohrádek was laid. In 1900 there were 306 people in Klešice, compared to 313 in 1910. From 1945 the Klešice manor and the Heřmanův Městec estate belonged to the Kinsky princes. At the end of the Second World War there were still two mills in Klešice. From 1976 Klešice was part of the community Heřmanův Městec. Since January 1st, 1992 the village of Klešice exists again.
