history

lock

Nasavrky was created at the transition from the 12th to the 13th century during the colonization of the Iron Mountains. The first written mention of the place took place in 1318 as the seat of Vladiken Žehart von Nasavrky. In the middle of the 14th century, Charles IV gave the goods to his friend Johann Očko von Wlašim . Under the Olomouc bishop, Nasavrky was elevated to a town in 1360 and was given the privilege of holding a weekly market .

After Karel Záruba von Hustířan became the owner of Nasavrky in 1593, he had the fortress demolished around 1600 and replaced with a two-story castle. After the Battle of the White Mountain the Záruba went into exile and in 1623 the imperial lieutenant Francois de Couriers bought the Nasavrky rule. In 1680 the area was hit by a plague epidemic. In 1701 Franz Josef von Schönfeld acquired the Nassaberg rule. By marriage in 1737 the property passed to Johann Adam von Auersperg . The Prince of Auersperg united the dominions Nassaberg, Setsch and Schleb . After Johann Adam his son Karl followed and then his brother Vincenz. In 1839 a large office building was built next to the castle. After patrimonial was replaced, Nassaberg became the seat of the district court in the middle of the 19th century. At the beginning of the 20th century, Nasavrky became the seat of a district administration and the center of the Northern Iron Mountains. After the death of Ferdinand Auersperg in 1942 Josef Trauttmansdorff inherited the Nasavrky Castle.

The status of the market town was not renewed after the Second World War and the court seat was lost. Since 1971, the "Nasavrcká paleta" art exhibition has been held annually in the castle. Nasavrky has been a city since September 27, 2008.
