history

The first written mention of the village took place in 1329, when the abbot Jaroslav and the prior Všeslav of the Benedictine monastery Wilmzell left the desert Bojanover district with the exception of Křižanovice to Heinrich von Lichtenburg for repopulation. The Bojanover Sprengel came under the administration of the Lichtenburg . At the end of the 14th century the monastery reacquired the area, in the 15th century Libkov became part of the Oheb castle . The Trčka von Lípa gentlemen sold the Oheban goods in 1555 to Wenceslaus Robenhaupt von Sucha. In 1564 the sons of Sigismund Robenhaupt von Sucha, Wenzel and Albrecht divided the goods of the desert castle Oheb among themselves. The Bojanov estate was attached to the Seč dominion . In 1628 Johann Záruba von Hustířan sold the Seč reign with Bojanov to the imperial lieutenant colonel Franz de Cuvier, who united them with his Nassaberg reign . After the death of his son and heir Emanuel de Cuvier († 1663), the rule of Nassaberg with Seč and Bojanov fell to his mother, Rosina de Cuvier, née von Heiden, who was married to Nikolaus von Schönfeld for the second time . In 1753, the rulership of Nassaberg fell to Johann Adam von Auersperg as the universal heir of the Counts of Schönfeld, who died out with Joseph Franz von Schönfeld († 1737).

Libkov was the seat of a Rychtářs who exercised the lower jurisdiction over the surrounding villages. The Chalupners had to do robotic services on the Travná and Orel farms as well as in winter when felling trees in the stately forests, the farmers were obliged to carry the wood to the rafting places on the Chrudimka and as rafters during the rafting.

In 1835, the village of Lipkow , located in the Chrudim district , consisted of 24 houses in which 191 people, including three Protestant families, lived. The Catholic parish was Bojanow , the Protestant pastorate was in Hradischt . Until the mid-19th century was Lipkow the rule Nassaberg servants.

After the abolition of patrimonial Lipkov formed from 1849 with the districts Chlum, Javorné, Krásné , Mezisvětí, Polánka, Spáleniště and Vápenice a municipality in the judicial district Nassaberg . From 1868 the municipality belonged to the political district of Chrudim . In 1869 Lipkov had 243 inhabitants. Since the 1870s, Lupoměchy was also run as a district. The main sources of income were the cultivation and processing of flax and timber transport services to the Slatiňany and Kalkpodol railway stations . In 1890 the community consisted of 151 houses, in which 1008 people lived; the village of Lipkov had 219 inhabitants. The volunteer fire brigade was founded in 1907. In 1910 there were 206 people in Lipkov . The district Lupoměchy was called from 1910 as Česká Lhotice 2. díl . In 1914 the community was divided; Krásné and Javorné merged to form the municipality of Krásné, Chlum and Polánka formed the municipality of Polánka. Since 1924 the village has been called Libkov.
