Kameničky (German Kamenitschek ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located six kilometers southeast of Hlinsko on the northern edge of the Saar mountains and belongs to the Okres Chrudim . At the beginning of the 20th century, the village was a favorite destination for Bohemian painters and from 1904 it was popularly known as Slavíčkovy Kameničky .
geography
The village is located on the upper reaches of the Chrudimka , which has its source in two springs on the U Oběšeného hill near Filipov and north of Ovčín. In the northwest rises the 697 m high Pešava, east of Vojtěchův kopec (673 m), which is also known as Volák, in the south lies the Krejcar pond and in the southwest of the Kameničký rybník. State road 343 between Hlinsko and Svratka runs through the village .

history
The parish church was first mentioned in 1350, according to the local history it should have originated in 1250. In 1392 the Osada Kameniczka was named as the property of Smil Flaška z Pardubic on Richenburg . In the 15th century the village was called Reychlowa Kamenicze .
The inhabitants of the place on a connection route from Bohemia to Moravia lived from agriculture, but the stony soil and the long winters often caused hardship, so that the name Bohemian Siberia became popular for the area . In 1763 the dilapidated Gothic wooden church was demolished and replaced by a new building that was completed two years later. At that time, many of the residents earned extra income from linen weaving, later also hairnet weaving and jacquard weaving.
After the snow break in October 1930, a narrow-gauge forest railway was built between Lány and Herálec , which was discontinued after four years of operation and repair of the storm damage. In 1970 Kameničky became part of the Protected Landscape Area Žéárské vrchy. Filipov was incorporated in 1985.
