Honbice (German Hombitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located eight kilometers southeast of Chrudim and belongs to the Okres Chrudim .
geography
Honbice is located on the right side above the valley of the Ježděnka brook on the Hrochotýnecká tabule ( Hrochow-Teinitzer Tafel ). The Ježděnec pond is located at the north-western end of the village. Southwest the hill Kamenice (rises Kamenitz , 297 m nm).
Neighboring towns are Nabočany and Hrochův Týnec in the north, Skalice and Blansko in the northeast, Přestavlky and Trojovice in the east, Řestoky in the southeast, Dolní Mlýn and Zaječice in the south, Libanice in the southwest, Tři Bubny in the west and Kočí in the northwest.
history
It is believed that the villages of Trojovice, Zájezdec and Honbice were established from Řestoky by the Kladruby monastery in the middle or end of the 12th century .
Honbice was first mentioned in a document in 1244 as the seat of Vladiken . The church was built in the middle of the 14th century. Later the Honbice estate was added to the Přestawlk allodial estate . From 1658 the captain of the Chrudim district Adam Heinrich Talatzko von Gestetitz, from 1704 Norbert Leopold Kolowrat -Liebsteinsky and from 1747 the princes Auersperg belonged to the owners .
In 1835, the in consisted Chrudim district situated village Hombitz even Honbitz or Honwitz called out 43 houses, where 252 people lived. Of these, 28 houses belonged to the Přestawlk estate and 15 to the Nassaberg manor . Under the patronage of the Nassaberg were the branch church of St. Exaltation of the Cross and the School. The parish was Hrochow-Teinitz . Until the middle of the 19th century, Hombitz was divided between the Přestawlk manor and the Nassaberg manor, which both had the same owner.
After the abolition of patrimonial formed Hombice / Hombitz 1849 with the districts Libanice / Libanitz and Nabočany / Nabotschan a municipality in the judicial district Chrudim . From 1868 the municipality belonged to the political district of Chrudim . Nabočany broke up in 1873 and formed its own community. In 1924 the Czech place name was changed to Honbice .

The municipality Honbice consists of the districts Honbice ( Hombitz ) and Libanice ( Libanitz ), which also form cadastral districts.
