history

The village was first mentioned in documents in 1275 in connection with Dluhomil von Nabočany. There is evidence of a festival since 1385 . The owners of the Nabočany estate changed frequently. From 1542 Wenceslaus Talatzko von Gestetitz owned the goods Nabočany and Libanice. Adam Přibík von Otaslavice, who bought Nabočany in 1568, had a castle built on the north side of the courtyard as a new manor house. In 1616 he sold the Nabočany estate with the castle to Anna Maria von Kapaun, née von Damsdorf. This inherited the estate to Karl Gustav Kapaun von Swoykow, whose son sold it in 1692 to Sidonie Woracziczky von Pabienitz , née Kapaun. Sidonie and her husband Augustin Norbert Woracziczky von Pabienitz had the dilapidated palace rebuilt in the Baroque style, and in 1697 they sold the estate to Marie Elisabeth von Millesimo, née Kustosch von Zubří and Lipka. This sold the property in 1716 to Joseph Franz von Schönfeld , who united it with his rule Nassaberg . In 1753, the rulership of Nassaberg fell to Johann Adam von Auersperg as the universal heir of the Counts of Schönfeld, who died out with Joseph Franz von Schönfeld († 1737).

In 1835 the village of Nabotschan , located in the Chrudim district , consisted of 34 houses in which 247 people, including three Protestant families, lived. In the village there was a civil servants' house, a yard, a sheep farm and a mill. The parish was Hrochow-Teinitz . Until the middle of the 19th century, Nabotschan remained subject to Nassaberg rule.

After the abolition of patrimonial Nabočany formed from 1849 a district of the municipality Hombice in the judicial district Chrudim . From 1868 the village belonged to the political district of Chrudim . In 1869 Nabočany had 304 inhabitants. In 1873 Nabočany broke away from Hombice and formed its own municipality. In 1900 there were 307 people in the village, in 1910 there were 328.

Attractions

  • Nabočany Castle, built after 1568 for Adam Přibík of Otaslavice. Augustin Norbert Woracziczky von Pabienitz had the palace rebuilt in Baroque style from 1692. After the estate was sold to the Counts of Schönfeld auf Nassaberg in 1716, the castle was no longer needed as a mansion and served as the residence and office of the lordly official. Between 1820 and 1830, the administrator of the Nassaberg estate, Griselda von Auersperg , had the castle redesigned into a simple farm building. The last renovations took place in 1925, when the new owner of the Nabočany manor made the building his home in the course of the land reform. Fundamental repairs were carried out in the 2010s.
  • Statue of St. John of Nepomuk in the village square, cultural monument
  • Bell tower on the village square, built in 1937
  • Timbered chalets, the oldest (No. 1) dates from 1701
