Pokřikov (German Pokrikow , 1939–45 Pokrikau ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located six kilometers south of Skuteč and belongs to the Okres Chrudim .

geography

Pokřikov is located on the Dolský creek in the Skutečská pahorkatina ( Skutscher hill country ). To the north of the village is the Drážní rybník pond. The Havlíčkův Brod – Pardubice railway runs in a loop around Pokřikov in the south, east and north .

Neighboring towns are Radčice in the north, Dolívka and Lešany in the northeast, Miřetín, Spálená Sázka and Otradov in the east, Krouna and Oldřiš in the southeast, Fortna, Humperky, Dědová and Kladno in the south, Vojtěchov in the southwest, Hyvel and Raná in the west and Oflenda , Mrákotín and Oldřetice in the northwest.

history

The first documentary mention of the village took place in the country table in 1392 , when Smil Flaška von Pardubitz handed over the Richenburg with the associated 62 villages to Otto von Bergow and Boček II from Podiebrad .

In 1835, the in consisted Chrudim district located rustic village Pokřikow of 82 houses, where 476 people lived. The main sources of income were the moderately profitable agriculture and the trade in flax and linen. The parish office was Ranna . Until the middle of the 19th century Pokřikow remained subordinate to the Richenburg rule.

After the abolition of patrimonial Pokřikov formed from 1849 a municipality in the judicial district of Skuch . From 1868 the community belonged to the political district Hohenmauth . In 1869 Pokřikov had 392 inhabitants. In 1870, the ÖNWB built the Deutschbrod – Pardubitz railway line in the municipality , and on May 16, 1871, train traffic began. The volunteer fire brigade was founded in 1894. In 1900 there were 483 people in the village, compared to 474 in 1910. The road to Vojtěchov was built in 1922. In 1930 Pokřikov had 466 inhabitants. In 1949 the community was assigned to the newly formed Okres Hlinsko, and since 1961 it has belonged to Okres Chrudim. In the 2001 census, Pokřikov consisted of 98 houses and had 272 residents.
