history

Studnice is one of the oldest places in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands . The first written mention was made in 1303, when Benesch von Wartenberg Studnice and other settlements left to the jurisdiction of the judge from Hlinsko, Nikolaus. The village was one of the places that Archbishop Ernst von Pardubitz assigned to the diocese of Leitomischl on November 4, 1350 . In 1485 the owner of the Richenburg estate , Wilhelm Pardus von Horka and Vratkov, granted Studnice the right to scholtisee . In 1787 a school was established in Studnice.

In 1835, the rustic village of Studnitz or Studnice in the south of the Chrudim district consisted of 104 houses in which 602 people lived. The main sources of income were the poorly profitable agriculture, linen weaving and the flax and yarn trade. There was a community school in the village. The parish was Hlinsko. Until the middle of the 19th century, Studnitz always remained subject to the allodial rule of Richenburg.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Studnice / Studnitz with the district Zalíbený / Zalibeny a municipality in the judicial district Hlinsko . From 1868 the municipality belonged to the political district of Chrudim .

In 1949 the community was assigned to the newly created Okres Hlinsko. In the course of the municipal reform of 1960 Studnice came back to Okres Chrudim , at the same time Košinov was incorporated.

The community Studnice consists of the districts Košinov ( Koschinow ), Studnice ( Studnitz ) and Zalíbené ( Zalibeny , 1939–45: Salieben ), which also form cadastral districts.
