Kladno is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located six kilometers northeast of Hlinsko and belongs to the Okres Chrudim .
geography
Kladno is located north of the Saar Mountains in the basin of the Dolský creek ( Grundbach ). The Čertovina (652 m) rises to the west. At the northern exit of the village, the state road I / 34 runs between Hlinsko and Polička , which also forms the northern border of the Žďárské vrchy protected landscape area . The Havlíčkův Brod – Pardubice railway line runs two kilometers to the north ; the railway station of the same name is located in Vojtěchov .
Neighboring towns are Vojtěchov and Pokřikov in the north, Hesiny and Otradov in the north-east, Oldřiš and Krouna in the east, Humperky in the south-east, Dědová in the south, Jeníkov and Blatno in the south-west, Pláňavy , Hlinsko and Medkovy Kopce in the west and Holetín in the north-west.
history
The first written mention of the village of Kladne , which belonged to the rule of Richenburg , took place in 1392. Kladno is a hoof village that was created in the valley of the Grundbach. Since 1485 the place was the seat of a judge.
After the abolition of patrimonial, Kladno formed a municipality in the political district of Chrudim from 1850 . At that time the place consisted of 80 houses and had about 350 inhabitants. The village school was established in 1888. The water power of Dolský potok was used by a grinding mill and a board mill. In addition to agriculture, home weaving also fed the residents. In 1949 the community was assigned to Okres Hlinsko and since 1961 it has belonged again to Okres Chrudim .
