The municipality of Běstvina with 540 inhabitants is located on 1,407 hectares at the foot of the Železné hory (Iron Mountains) in Okres Chrudim ( Czech Republic ). A quarter of the area consists of forests. The municipality belongs to the Železné hory microregion .
history
The first written mention comes from 1137 in the annals of the Canon of Vyšehrad Cosmas of Prague . The foundation is closely connected with an old trade route, the Liběcká stezka , which connected to the Golden Path .

Attractions
- Baroque parish church of John the Baptist , built in 1726 by the rebuilding of the Gothic chapel from 1137.
- Baroque castle from the 17th century. The last rulers were the lords of Herzogenberg.
