history
The village of Lány, laid out as a forest hoof village, was probably founded in the 13th century from the Kozojed fortress; its structure differs significantly from the surrounding Rundanger villages .
Lány was first mentioned in a document in 1388. Under the Trčka von Lípa lords , who were the owners of Heřmanmiestetz from 1457 to 1538, Lány was also added to this rule. This was followed by Andiel von Ronowec from 1552, the Lords of Zierotin from 1596 , the Berka von Dubá from 1611 , the Counts von Sporck from 1661 , the Barons von Greiffenclau from 1798 and the Princes Kinsky from 1828 .
In 1835 the village of Laan or Lany , located in the Chrudim district , consisted of 56 houses in which 404 people lived. The single-shift Bořetitzer mill was consolidated at Laan . The parish was Heřmanmiestetz . Until the middle of the 19th century, Lany remained subject to the allodial rule Heřmanmiestetz.
After the abolition of patrimonial formed Lány / Laan in 1849 with the hamlet Kozojed / Kosojed a municipality in the judicial district Chrudim . From 1868 the municipality belonged to the political district of Chrudim . Since the beginning of the 20th century Kozojed was no longer run as a district. The one-layer Bořetický Mlýn on Skupický potok was completely extinct. In 1961 the municipalities of Lány and Bylany merged to form a municipality of Bylany-Lány , which since the beginning of 1974 has only been called Bylany. Since March 1st, 1990 the municipality of Lány exists again. On November 8, 2004, the scattered settlement Kozojedy received the status of a district.
Community structure
The municipality of Lány consists of the districts Kozojedy ( Kosojed ) and Lány ( Laan ). Lány also includes the Bořetický Mlýn desert ( Bořetitz Mill ).
