history

The first written mention of Pouchobrady took place in 1349. The hamlet developed around the seat of the Vladiken family Pochobradský von Pochobrad. From the beginning of the 14th century there was a parish and a wooden church. The first owner known by name was Jindřich von Pochobrad, who sealed the 1415 protest document against the burning of Jan Hus . Burian Pochobradsky von Pochobrad sold the Pochobrad estate with the associated share from Sobětuchy to Oswald von Schönfeld in 1558 , who sold it to the town of Chrudim a little later . In 1694 August Norbert Woraschitzky von Pabienitz bought the estate, in 1717 it was auctioned by Joseph Franz von Schönfeld and attached to the Nassaberg rule .

In 1835 the village of Pochobrad , located in the Chrudim district , consisted of 5 houses in which 51 people lived. In the village there was a branch church dedicated to St. Trinity, a Meierhof and a sheep farm. The Zawadilka retreat and the Čerwenetz mill, which was subordinate to the Heřmanmiestetz rule, were situated apart. The parish was Chrudim . Until the middle of the 19th century, Pochobrad remained subject to the Nassaberg rule.

After the abolition of patrimonial Pochobrady formed from 1849 a district of the municipality Stolany in the judicial district of Chrudim . From 1868 the village belonged to the political district of Chrudim . In 1869 Pochobrady had 66 inhabitants. In 1900 108 people lived in the village, in 1910 there were 99. In 1914 Sobětuchy and Pochobrady broke away from Stolany and formed the municipality of Sobětuchy. In 1921 Pochobrady had 132 inhabitants. The district has been called Pouchobrady since 1924 . In 1930, 86 people lived in Pouchobrady. In 1961, the municipalities of Sobětuchy and Stolany were merged to form a municipality Sobětuchy-Stolany, which from July 1, 1966, was named Sobětuchy. In the 2001 census, 29 people lived in the 8 houses of Pouchobrady. The seat of the municipality of Sobětuchy is located in Pouchobrady.
