Nová Ves (German Neudorf ) is a district of the city of Skuteč in the Czech Republic . It is located three kilometers north of Skuteč and belongs to the Okres Chrudim .

geography

The hamlet of Nová Ves, surrounded by extensive forests, is located on the left above the Anenské údolí des Anenský potok on a planer plateau in the Štěpánovská stupňovina ( Stiepanow stepland or seam mountains ). State road II / 358 runs to the west between Skuteč and Chrast , from which a cul-de-sac leads to Nová Ves. To the south rises the Stračín ( Stratschin , 396 m nm), in the southwest the Kostelecká hůra (432 m nm).

Neighboring towns are Podhora, Hroubovice and Bělá in the north, Horní Radim , Luže and Zdislav in the northeast, U Svaté Anny, Doly and Lhota u Skutče in the east, Štěpánov in the southeast, Kolonie, Bílý Kopeček and Přibylov in the south, Vrbatův Kostelec in the southwest in the west and Obora, Chacholice, Podlažice and Kadaň in the north-west.

history

Nová Ves was founded in the 17th century as a logging settlement in the Ivina forest belonging to Gut Rossitz . The place was first mentioned in writing in 1654.

In 1835 the village of Neudorf or Nowawes in the Chrudim district consisted of 8 houses in which 44 people lived. The parish was Skutsch . Until the middle of the 19th century Neudorf remained subject to the Fideikommissherrschaft Rossitz. The village was isolated from the rest of the rulership and was surrounded by the villages of the Richenburg and Chrast domains .

After the abolition of patrimonial Nová Ves formed from 1849 a district of the municipality Hroubovice in the judicial district of Chrudim . From 1868 the village belonged to the political district of Chrudim . In 1869 Nová Ves had 58 inhabitants and consisted of 8 houses. In 1900 there were 48 people in Nová Ves, compared to 45 in 1910. In 1930 the village had 42 inhabitants. In 1949 Nová Ves was reassigned to Skuteč and at the same time assigned to the newly formed Okres Hlinsko, since 1961 the village has belonged again to Okres Chrudim. In the 2001 census, there were 22 people living in the 11 houses of Nová Ves.
