Hněvětice (German Hniewietitz ) is a district of the city of Skuteč in the Czech Republic . It is located five kilometers east of Skuteč and belongs to the Okres Chrudim .
geography
Hněvětice is located on the right above the Šilinkův důl der Krounka in the Skutečská pahorkatina ( Skutscher hill country ). To the northeast rises the Na Borůvčí (467 m nm), in the east the V Končinách (477 m nm) and the Macháčkův kopec (509 m nm) and in the northwest the Heráně (453 m nm). Rychmburk Castle is located northwest of the village .
Neighboring towns are Oborský Mlyn and Borek in the north, Hluboká and Březiny in the Northeast, Dudychov and Zderaz the east, Perálec , Podměstí, Proseč and Záboří the southeast, Kutrin , Na Volavkách and Miřetín in the south, Ochoz, Pangrotka and Lesany in the southwest, Předhradí in West and Zbožnov in the northwest.

The first documentary mention of the village took place in the country table in 1392 , when Smil Flaška von Pardubitz handed over the Richenburg with the associated 62 villages to Otto von Bergow and Boček II from Podiebrad . During the Hussite Wars , an utraquist community with its own prayer house was formed in Hněvětice. After the Battle of White Mountain , the priest of the Bohemian Brothers was expelled from Hněvětice and the collature was transferred to the Catholic parish of Skuteč . The parish of Hněvětice was never again occupied and became extinct. Some of the residents remained Protestant even after the re-Catholicization. At the end of the 17th century, a Rychta was established in Hněvětice , whose area of responsibility also included the villages of Zhoř , Kutřín , Borek and the Richenburg part of Hluboká .
In 1835 the village of Hniewietitz, located in the Chrudim district and consisting of two departments, consisted of 27 houses in which 181 people lived. An avenue led from Hniewietitz to the Richenburg. The Catholic parish was Richenburg , the Protestants were assigned to the Prosetsch pastorate . Until the middle of the 19th century, Hniewietitz remained subject to the Richenburg rule.
After the abolition of patrimonial Hněvětice formed from 1849 with the districts Borek and Zhoř a municipality in the judicial district of Skuch . From 1868 the community belonged to the political district Hohenmauth . In 1869 Hněvětice had 184 inhabitants and consisted of 29 houses. In 1880 246 people lived in Hněvětice, in 1900 there were 239. In 1930 the village had 214 inhabitants. In 1949 Hněvětice was assigned to the newly formed Okres Hlinsko, and since 1961 the village has belonged to Okres Chrudim. On July 1, 1985, Hněvětice was incorporated together with its districts Borek and Zhoř to Skuteč. In the 2001 census, 65 people lived in the 41 houses in Hněvětice. On June 4, 2005, the Borůvka lookout tower was opened on the Na Borůvčí plateau on the way to Hluboká.
