Imminence is a Swedish metalcore - Group of Malmö and Trelleborg , which was founded in 2009. The band is currently under contract with Arising Empire .

The band calls their music post- metalcore .

history

In 2009 Harald Barret founded the band and after a short time singer Eddie Berg joined them. The band was named Imminence in 2010. Alex Arnoldsson and Peter Hanström joined them by 2012. Max Holmberg has only been an official member of the band since 2015.

Even before the release of their first EP, Imminence had moved away from their initial sound, which was rooted in Melodic Death Metal . Musical influences from different metal genres were included to achieve a more open-minded sound. The sound of the Imminence changed steadily over time.

Imminence released their first EP Born Of Sirius in 2012, largely unnoticed .

2013 Imminence signed to We Are Triumphant Records, where they found their second EP Return for Helios with the single Wine & Water , and in 2014 their first album I published. The release was accompanied by a series of music videos, which, like all previous Imminence videos, were shot by singer Eddie Berg. Most of the videos were published on Hardcore World Wide , some with great viral success . 2015 Imminence published with A Mark on My Soul and Wine & Water two acoustic versions of the on I included songs Last Leg and Wine & Water .

When the new label Arising Empire was announced , Imminence along with Novelists , GWLT and Amor were named as the first signings.

In December the single The Sickness Imminences was released for the first time on Arising Empire.

At the beginning of 2017 the next album This is Goodbye was released, which contains 14 songs. Imminence achieved a certain degree of success in Germany and were on tour with the German metalcore band Annisokay as a guest band on the Devil May Care tour.

In December 2018 the band toured Europe together with Our Mirage and Breathe Atlantis .
