history

In 1989 the company, which now had 16 branches, was taken over by Pick Pay . By the mid-1990s, the branch network had increased to 47 locations. In 1994 Coop became a shareholder with a 50 percent stake. In the same year, the chain started its mail order business and expanded into western Switzerland . In 1998 Coop took over complete control of IMPO Import Perfumeries. As part of a restructuring of the Coop Group, IMPO Import Parfümerien was dissolved as an independent stock corporation in 2002 and the activities were integrated as an independent division within the Coop Group under the name Import Parfumerie .
