In Lacrimaes et Dolor ( Corsican In Tears and Pain ) is a funeral doom band founded in 2009 .

history

The band In Lacrimaes et Dolor, initially intended as a black metal project, was founded in 2009 by Dany Noctis in Macerata as a solo project. After a few unsuccessful attempts to build up a stable band constellation, the bassist Mauro "Ulag" Mancinelli, the singer Francesco Torresi, the drummer "Ruglud" and the guitarist Francesco Castricini joined the band. Together, the group decided to vary the style towards Funeral Doom.

The band released their debut Beyond the Grave , recorded in the DPF Studio, in 2013 via GS Productions . This was followed in 2014 by the split releases In Memorian with Until My Funerals Began and Abysmal Growls of Despair, and in 2015 Of Poison and Grief (Four Litanies for the Deceased) with Aphonic Threnody , Y'ha-Nthlei and The Blessed Hellbrigades and 2020 Ad Cenerem with Until My Funerals Began and Sepultus Est .

style

The music played by In Lacrimaes et Dolor is attributed to Funeral Doom. For comparison, performers like Esoteric and My Dying Bride are used at the time of the Symphonaire Infernus Et Spera Empyreum . A suffocating density of music, which generates a sad to melancholic atmosphere through the use of the keyboard, is attested to the group.
