In the Burial is an Australian death metal band from Adelaide that was formed in 2007.

history

The band was founded in 2007, after which a first demo appeared shortly afterwards . After she had signed a recording contract with the Canadian label PRC Music , the debut album Born of Suffering was released in 2013 , which was recorded in Against the Grain Studio . The material was mastered by Jens Bogren in the Swedish Fascination Studio . Mel Bulian and Jesse are represented as guest singers. In 2014, singer Andrew Kite and guitarist Pete Clark left the line-up, whereupon singer Mel Bulian and keyboardist Ozan Gol joined as replacements. In August 2016, the two new songs Arise the Heretics and In Linear Lights , which are planned for the second album, were released. So far the group has performed together with Napalm Death , Origin , Ne Obliviscaris , Aborted , Dying Fetus , Grave and Hypno5e , among others .

style

Brian Giffin wrote in his Encyclopedia of Australian Heavy Metal that the band started out as a symphonic metal group and then later turned to death metal . E. Thomas from teethofthedivine.com wrote in his review of Born of Suffering that you can hear Technical Death Metal in the style of Origin, using keyboard sounds that are common for Black Metal . The singing consists of both growls and screams . The last song In Death ... Absolution is a mixture of Black and Death Metal and can be compared to the music of Order of Ennead . Rough from volumesofsin.net described the music on the album as chaotic Death Metal with vocal structures typical of the Black and Death Metal genres. The triggered drums in the songs are also noticeable , with blastbeats being characteristic of the instrument .
