Andreea Grecu

Andreea Grecu (born January 10, 1994 in Bucharest ) is a Romanian bobsleigh athlete and athlete .

Grecu took part in the 2011 World Youth Athletics Championships in Lille, where she came in sixth place with the Romanian sprint relay. In 2015 she became Romanian champion with the 4x100m relay. In the same year she ran with the Romanian 4x400m relay at the World Championships in Beijing, but did not reach the finals. In 2017 she became Romanian champion over 100 m.

Grecu is even more successful in winter sports, where she is trained by Paul Neagu . At the 2012 Winter Youth Olympic Games , she was sixth in the two-man bobsleigh with Ana Constantin . With Constantin's sister Maria Adela Constantin , Grecu was 21st as a pusher at the 2013 Bobsleigh World Championship . In 2014 the duo Grecu / Constantin took part in the Olympic Games in Sochi, where they finished 17th. During the 2014/15 European Bobsleigh Cup , the two achieved three third places and at the 2015 Bobsleigh World Championships they were ninth in both the two-man bobsleigh and with the team. The duo also finished ninth at the 2016 European Bobsleigh Championships .

At the European Bobsleigh Championship 2017 , Grecu switched to the steering ropes and was tenth with the pusher Olívia Vild . At the 2017 Bobsleigh World Cup , Grecu was again Maria Adela Constantin's pusher . With the international team, consisting of the Romanians and Germans Alexander Gassner , Anna Fernstädt , Richard Oelsner and Marc Rademacher , she won the bronze medal at Königssee. In 2018, Grecu became Junior World Champion with the pusher Florentina Iușco in St. Moritz. At the 2018 Olympic Games in Pyeongchang , Grecu and Constantin finished in 15th place.
