In the Line of Duty

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In the Line of Duty ( Chinese  皇家 師姐  /  皇家 师姐 , Pinyin huángjiā shījiě , Cantonese  Wong gaa si ze ) is a film series from Hong Kong , produced by D&B Films Company Ltd with the intention of a series of Girls With Guns . The star of the first two parts was, among others, Michelle Yeoh and in the other parts, Cynthia Khan followed as a police officer, combining the use of firearms and combat techniques. After the huge success of these two films, others followed in the name of a retrospective called In the Line of Duty , the third part was then also the first to actually bear the title of the series, the first two parts with Michelle Yeoh were included.

The films were released worldwide and also in Germany, not only because of the three-title titles (Cantonese, Mandarin and English) that are common in Hong Kong, but also because of disagreement in the distribution system, with almost unmanageable name variants. For example, the films debuted in Germany under the name Ultra Force . This can also lead to misunderstandings, because a short time later a similar series from China / Hong Kong appeared in Germany under this name, but it is also distributed under various titles, in Germany among others as Red Force - or Megaforce - Series (including the actress Moon Lee ; first broadcast in Germany on premiere as Red Force ).
