Inamullah Khan
Inamullah Khan (born 1912 in Rangoon , Burma , present-day Myanmar ; died 1997 ) was an Islamic scholar and activist. He was a co-founder of the World Islamic Congress or World Muslim Congress ( Arabic مؤتمر العالم الإسلامي, DMG Muʾtamar al-ʿĀlam al-Islāmī ; Abbr. MAI ), an Islamic organization based in Karachi . For more than four decades he was its general secretary. He also directed the publication of its World Muslim Gazetteer .
Inamullah Khan was born in Rangoon , his family came from Zamania in India . In 1948 he migrated to Pakistan .
In 1988 he received the Templeton Prize .
