The 7th Sibiu Cycling Tour 2017 was a Romanian road bike race in the Transylvania region . The stage race took place from July 5th to 9th, 2017 . It was part of the UCI Europe Tour 2017 and classified there in category 2.1 . Overall winner was the Colombian Egan Bernal by Androni Giocattoli .

The Italian Andrea Palini (Team Androni) won the prologue in 3:07 minutes, two seconds ahead of his team-mate Luca Pacioni . Palini took over the overall lead. On the first stage, Edwin Ávila (Illuminate) prevailed as an outlier with 43 seconds ahead of Eduard-Michael Grosu (Romania national team), who won the sprint of the chasing group. Avila thus took the overall lead. Stage two took place on a mountainous profile and ended with a mountain finish at Lake Bâlea .

This won Egan Bernal (Androni), who took the overall lead. Second on the stage was the Swiss Colin Stüssi (Roth-Akros), 1:22 minutes behind. On the equally mountainous stage to Păltiniș , Bernal again won ahead of Stüssi, who this time was 11 seconds behind. Bernal kept the overall lead.

On the fourth and final stage, the Romanian Grosu (national team Romania) won the mass sprint ahead of Maciej Paterski (Poland / CCC). Bernal defended the overall standings and won the entire tour.
