indoctrination
Indoctrination ( Latin doctrina , instruction ') is a particularly vehement instruction that does not allow any contradiction or discussion . This happens through the targeted manipulation of people through the controlled selection of information in order to enforce ideological intentions or to eliminate criticism .
Characteristic
An essential characteristic or a central method of indoctrination is propaganda . The form in which the information is presented is distorted on one side , the entirety of the information available is censored , information that contradicts the ideology is withheld, the expression of which is threatened with discreet discrimination or specific penalties.
The possibilities of achieving a corresponding monopoly of information over a large crowd are conspicuously given in dictatorships . But uncontrolled monopoly ization of the mass media and authoritarian , religiously or politically motivated educational can shape promote indoctrination. The (apparently) positive sides of the system are exaggerated, while critical or unpopular information is suppressed.
Brand management
Modern examples of indoctrination are the methods of brand management .
