The Industrial University of Santander ( Spanish Universidad Industrial de Santander , UIS for short ) is a university in the Department of Santander in Colombia . It has locations in Bucaramanga , Barrancabermeja , Socorro , Málaga and Barbosa .
The university opened in 1948. Student protests broke out in the 1960s and 70s.
