The infa (initially "Lower Saxony State Housekeeping Exhibition") is the largest German experience and shopping fair , which has been held in Hanover on the exhibition grounds in October since 1954 . It lasts nine days. The next infa will take place from October 17 to 25, 2020.

infa originally stands for In formation fair for Fa milia and, with an average of 190,000 visitors and over 1,400 national and international exhibitors of the largest information and sales exhibitions in Germany.

Exhibition areas

Infa presents the following theme worlds / exhibition areas:

build + live

The two halls “building” and “living & ambience” belong to this theme world. The focus is on products and services on topics such as building a house, buying real estate, interior fittings and furnishings, energy-efficient building and renovation, sanitary and heating technology, windows and doors, chimneys and tiled stoves.

Way of life

In the “Lifestyle” hall, the focus is on upscale retail, where around 100 exhibitors show furniture, fashion items, accessories and gastronomy in the upper price category.

Christmas

More than 100 exhibitors present decoration ideas, Christmas handicrafts, Christmas tree decorations and gift ideas at "Christmas".

infa balance

At “infa balance” around 100 exhibitors present products and services on the subject of wellness, health and nature.

infalino

At the two-day special "infalino" event, around 70 companies present their products on the subject of pregnancy, babies and toddlers.

infa creative

Handicrafts, painting and handicrafts are the focus of the three-day special event at “infa Kreativ”. Since 2015 the “STRICK! Hanover ”to“ infa Kreativ ”.

Market hall

National and international exhibitors offer food, sweets, wines, cheese and sausage specialties from different countries. There are also kitchen utensils, pans and pots in the market hall.

Bazaar of Nations

International exhibitors present souvenirs, handicrafts and local products. The center of the hall is the Piazza Italia with specialties from Italy.

Beauty & Style

Around 170 exhibitors show fashion, beauty and cosmetic products.

history

In 1954, the Heckmann exhibition organized the first “Lower Saxony State Housekeeping Exhibition” in the city hall of Hanover. The price for entry was DM 1 , but only half had to be paid for husbands .

In 1957 it was renamed "Housewives Exhibition". For the first time in 1973, the “information and sales exhibition” was given the abbreviation “Infa” derived from it. It has been held on the exhibition grounds since 1974.
