Inge Löhnig (* 1957 in Munich ) is a German writer . She became known for her detective novels about the investigator Konstantin Dühnfort.

Life

Inge Löhnig was born in Munich in 1957 and grew up in a village in the immediate vicinity. After graduating from high school , she studied graphic design at the U5 Academy in Munich . This was followed by a job as an art director in various advertising agencies, which she ended in order to set up her own design studio.

The original hobby of writing became a second job when Ullstein-Verlag became interested in her novels in 2007 . Since 2008 the novels about the chief detective Konstantin Dühnfort have been published - first by Ullstein, later by List (belonging to Ullsteinverlag). “Gedenke mein” is the first novel in another series of investigators in which Dühnfort's partner Gina Angelucci - chief detective and specialist in cold cases - is the main character.

Since her novels have appeared regularly on the SPIEGEL online bestseller site, Inge Löhnig has devoted herself exclusively to writing. In addition to investigative thrillers, she also writes youth thrillers for the ARENA publishing house. In November 2012 she was awarded the Herzogenrather Handschelle crime prize for her novel “Guilt lasts forever” .

Inge Löhnig lives with her family near Munich.
