Hollywood Victory Caravan (Tour)

The Hollywood Victory Caravan - Tournée from 1942, to be confused with a film of the same in 1945, was not a three-week tour across the US with a special train to support the US Army and -Navy .

The tour began on April 30, 1942 with a reception for the participants by the First Lady, then President's wife Eleanor Roosevelt . There were over 20 artists and authors from various genres. They created a colorful variety - Revue and led them on. The tour had 14 stops. Artists like:

raised $ 800,000 during the tour for US troops fighting in Europe and the Pacific.
