Inge Mittelbach

Inge Mittelbach is a former German table tennis player from the 1950s. She played an international match.

Career

Before the Second World War , Inge Mittelbach belonged to a Braunschweig canoe club. After the war she concentrated on table tennis and played for the club SV Blau-Gelb Braunschweig. From 1948 to 1953 she won the Lower Saxony championship five times . There were also titles in doubles with Helga Daus (1948 and 1949) and in mixed with Werner Stapelmann (1949), Karl Pietruska (1950) and Ernst Gomolla .

At the national German championship in 1953 she was third in doubles with Annegret Thöle . In 1953 she took part in a friendship match against Holland. Here she was the only German to win all games. The following year she came in sixth to eighth in the German ranking list drawn up by the sports committee.

At the end of her active career, Inge Mittelbach took on official duties. From 1970 to 1972 she was the maidservant of the Lower Saxony table tennis association TTVN .

Trivia

Inge Mittelbach was already volunteering for the TTVN in the 1950s because she had an old typewriter .
