Ingeborg Bacher

Ingeborg Bacher (born July 3, 1937 in Spittal an der Drau , Carinthia ) is a former Austrian politician ( SPÖ ).

Life

After attending compulsory schools , Ingeborg Bacher graduated from the teacher training college in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee . Afterwards she worked as a teacher at elementary schools from 1957 . In 1987, Bacher took over as director of the elementary school in Ferndorf .

In 1984 Bacher went into politics when she entered the Carinthian state parliament as a member of the SPÖ . She was a member of this for five years, until 1989. In May 1989 she changed as a member of the Federal Council in Vienna . However, she was only active as a Federal Councilor for two years, until the end of August 1991.
