Ingeborg Hoffmann (politician)

Ingeborg Hoffmann b. Hellmich (born November 26, 1923 in Prague ; † April 24, 2012 in Walsrode - Honerdingen ) was a German politician ( CDU ). From 1976 to 1990 she was a member of the German Bundestag .

Life

Hoffmann finished school with the Abitur and attended the commercial college . She completed language studies in France and England and worked from 1948 to 1954 as a secretary and clerk in the Düsseldorf district council. Later she also worked as a hotelier. In 1969 she joined the CDU and was from that year until 1972 a district council member and district chairwoman. Hoffmann was a member of the German Hotel and Restaurant Association . She was a member of the German Bundestag for the CDU from 1976 to 1990. In 1976 she was directly elected in the constituency of Hoya and in the following three legislative periods in the constituency of Soltau-Fallingbostel - Rotenburg II . Most recently she was a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee.

Hoffmann was a board member in the state and federal executive boards of the SME Association and from 1980 to 1990 a member of the state executive committee of the CDU in Lower Saxony.
