Engineering structure
When civil engineering structures , the designated DIN 1076 bridges , tunnels , trough structures , support structures with at least 1.5 meters visible height, noise barriers with at least 2 meters visible height and building works for which a static single proof of stability is required, such. However, DIN 1076 only deals with “engineering structures in the course of roads and paths” (as well as other structures in this context that are not engineering structures).
The fee schedule for architects and engineers (HOAI) contains regulations for services in civil engineering structures and a list of objects that includes bridge structures, sewers, tunnels, dams , cooling towers and silos . According to the property list, which was taken over unchanged from the previous HOAI when the amendment was made in 2009, civil engineering structures also include underground garages , underground stations, towers with superstructures, service floors and public floors or offshore structures . The HOAI lists the following groups of objects as engineering structures in the object lists (Annex 12; List 12.2):
- 1. structures and water supply systems ,
- 2. Structures and sewage disposal systems (with the exception of drainage systems that serve the purpose of the traffic systems and rainwater infiltration (differentiated from outdoor systems)),
- 3. Structures and hydraulic engineering systems (with the exception of outdoor facilities in accordance with Section 39 Paragraph 1),
- 4.Buildings and systems for supply and disposal (with gases, energy carriers, solids including water-polluting liquids, with the exception of systems in accordance with Section 53 (2)),
- 5. buildings and waste disposal facilities ,
- 6. Structural engineering structures for traffic facilities : z. B. underground stations , tunnels, trough structures, bridges, noise barriers and systems.
- 7. Other individual structures (other individual structures except buildings and overhead line and overhead line masts): e.g. silos, masts, chimneys, cooling towers, support structures, etc.
According to the HOAI, engineering structures belong to the group of objects. According to the HOAI, the objects also include buildings, interiors , traffic systems and outdoor facilities . Planning services that affect the objects according to HOAI are called object planning.
Traditionally, engineering structures for road and railway construction (bridges, tunnels, etc.) are also called engineering structures .
