Ingo F. Walther (* 1940 in Berlin ; † 2007 ) was a German art historian .

Walther studied literature, medieval studies and art history in Frankfurt am Main and Munich . He wrote numerous works on the art of the Middle Ages as well as the 19th and 20th centuries. At Taschen, he published books on Vincent van Gogh , Pablo Picasso , 20th century art and Codices illustres.
