Ingo Flemming (born June 29, 1968 in Sangerhausen ) is a German politician ( CDU ). He has been a member of the CDU parliamentary group in the Saxon state parliament since the state elections in Saxony in 2019 .

Life

Flemming attended a polytechnic high school from 1974 to 1984 and completed vocational training with a high school diploma in Sangerhausen from 1984 to 1987. Flemming then did two years of military service in the National People's Army before studying civil engineering at the TU Dresden from 1989 . From 1993 to 1994 he went to the University of Nottingham (subject construction management) for two trimesters as part of an Erasmus scholarship . In 1994 he completed his studies in Dresden as a graduate engineer . After a trainee program at Heilit + Woerner Bau AG (today Walter Bau ), he returned in 1996 as a research assistant to the Institute for Civil Engineering at the TU Dresden and was given a teaching position in the field of earthworks . In addition, his research focus was facility management . Since 2001 he has been the managing chief engineer at the Institute for Civil Engineering. He is also a member of the Faculty Council and the Examination Board at the Faculty of Civil Engineering.

Flemming has been a member of the CDU since 1997, since 2005 chairman of the CDU local association Dresden South, since 2007 member of the district board of the CDU Dresden, since 2018 local chairman of the CDU's medium-sized and business association and since 2019 chairman of the working group for economics, science and innovation CDU Dresden. In the local elections in Saxony in 2009 , he was elected to the city council for the first time for the constituency of Plauen / Friedrichstadt . There he acts as the spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group for petition matters and is a member of the supervisory board of Dresden Marketing GmbH, Gesellschaft für Immobilienwirtschaft mbH Dresden and Technische Werke Dresden GmbH, as well as a member of the Verbandsammlung Zweckverband Verkehrsverbund Oberelbe (Z-VOE).

In the state elections in Saxony in 2019 , he ran in the constituency of Dresden 3 , was able to prevail against his competitors with 30.3% of the votes and thus won a direct mandate for the 7th Saxon state parliament. In the state parliament, Flemming is deputy chairman of the committee for regional development, a member of the committee for science, universities, media, culture and tourism as well as a member of the petitions committee.

Ingo Flemming is married and has two children.
