Ingo Radcke

Ingo Radcke (born November 4, 1946 in Copenhagen ) is a German diplomat and has been Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Edinburgh since August 2003 . As such, he is responsible for the regions responsible for Scotland, Northumberland, Cumbria, Tyne and Wear (Tyneside) and Durham.

Life

After an engagement as a temporary soldier in the Bundeswehr with the later rank of lieutenant in the reserve, he studied law at the universities of Kiel , Lausanne and Edinburgh . He later did an internship at the Federation of German Industries ( BDI ) in London .

After joining the Foreign Service in 1976, he was employed at the Embassy in Australia (as advisor for press and politics), in the Foreign Office in Bonn (in the legal department), in the Federal Ministry of Defense in Bonn (in the planning staff), in the Foreign Office ( in the department for general personnel matters), at the embassy in the Netherlands (as advisor for press and public relations) and again in the Foreign Office in Bonn (in the central department).

From 1997 to 2000 Ingo Radcke was Consul General in Aabenraa / Denmark . Before his current assignment, he was head of the legal and consular department at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Spain .
