Ingo Stammberger

Ingo Stammberger (born September 29, 1960 ) is a German veterinarian and has been President of the State Veterinary Chamber of Hesse since November 2012 .

Education and professional career

After completing his school education, he studied from 1981 to 1986 veterinary medicine at the Veterinary Faculty of the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich , where he joined the faculty was then from 1987 to 1989 as a research assistant at the Institute of Pharmacology and Toxicology of Veterinary Medicine hired and in 1988 Doctor of Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine . In his free time he was active as a trumpeter in the Munich Academic Wind Orchestra.

In 1989 he switched to the pharmaceutical industry and became a toxicologist in drug development at Hoechst AG in Frankfurt am Main and its successor companies, Hoechst Marion Roussel, Aventis and Sanofi-Aventis . During this time in 1993 he became a specialist veterinarian for pharmacology and toxicology. He started his own business in 2012 and has since worked as a freelance specialist veterinarian for pharmacology and toxicology.

Professional politician

From 1996, Stammberger was a member of the delegates' assembly of the State Veterinary Association of Hesse (LTK Hessen) and its committee for specialist veterinary certification. In 2000 he became a member of the LTK board and in 2007 its vice-president. On November 22, 2012, he was elected President of the LTK Hessen to succeed Alexander Herzog .
