Ingrid Figur (* around 1934 in Berlin ) is a German concert and oratorio singer with a soprano voice .

Ingrid Figur first studied German language and literature in her hometown, then school music for the higher teaching post. Finally, I studied singing. After that she was extremely successful as a song and oratorio singer at home and abroad.

In 1974 she became a lecturer for singing at the Berlin University of the Arts , where she was professor for singing from 1980 to 1999. Ingrid Figur has trained many singers who are now nationally and internationally known, including Claudia Barainsky , Merav Barnea , Stella Doufexis , Ursula Hesse , Andrea Lang , Sebastian Noack , Christine Schäfer , Mojca Erdmann , Stefanie Kunschke and Tim Severloh .

Particularly noteworthy is her longstanding work and membership in the International Bach Academy Stuttgart . She also gave many master classes at home and abroad.
