Ingrid Fitzek

Ingrid Fitzek (born July 11, 1958 in Krefeld ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ).

Life

After graduating from high school , Fitzek studied political science , sociology , psychology and social work and education (SAE) at the University of Duisburg from 1977 to 1988 and at the City Polytechnic in Sheffield from 1982 to 1983. From 1984 to 1989 Fitzek was a student Assistant. She then worked as a lecturer and editor. From 2006 to 2018 she was the equal opportunities officer at the University of Duisburg-Essen .

Fitzek has been a member of the Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen party since 1989. She was active in numerous party bodies.

In the Mayor election in Duisburg on June 17, 2012, the district board spokeswoman Fitzek appeared as a candidate for the Greens.

MPs

From June 1, 1995 to June 1, 2000, Fitzek was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . She was elected from her party's national list.
