Ingrid Friese

Ingrid Friese (born September 20, 1952 in Gebesee ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

Friese studied from 1969 to 1972 at the Institute for Teacher Training in Weimar . From 1972 to 1989 she was professionally and educator worked, in 1989, she became head of a day nursery . Friese is the mother of two children.

From 1990 to 1993 she was a member of the Bernau District Council . At times she also sat on the board of directors of Sparkasse Barnim .

Friese was elected as a direct candidate of the SPD in the 1994 state election in constituency 13 (Barnim I) and entered the state parliament of Brandenburg . She was a member of parliament from October 11, 1994 until the end of the legislative period on September 29, 1999. During this time, she was deputy chairman of the SPD parliamentary group. She was also a member of the Committee for Education, Youth and Sport and the Committee for Brandenburg-Berlin. In the 1999 election she was not re-elected to the state parliament.

In the local elections in 2003 she was elected to the Barnim district council, to which she has been a member since November 1, 2003. She was re-elected in the local elections on September 28, 2008. In the district council, Friese is chair of the committee for education and culture.
