Ingrid Kolb

Ingrid Kolb (* 1941 ) is a German journalist and author , most recently director of the Henri Nannen School in Hamburg.

Life

After her traineeship at Münchner Merkur (1965–1966), she became deputy head of the local affairs department. After another two years she switched to the women's magazine Jasmin , with which she stayed for three years and later for another three years as an editor for the news magazine Der Spiegel . She then worked as an editor at Stern from 1977–1983 , then headed the department for education and society for six years, and was responsible for the Stern books department for another five years until 1994. Her own book on the contemporary emancipation of (women's) sexuality in Germany and worldwide in the course of the 1968 movement became best known .

In the following years she worked as the director of the Henri Nannen School of Journalism in Hamburg, which was set up by the major publisher Gruner + Jahr . She also wrote for Die Zeit . Since 2004 she has been a member of the board of trustees and lecturer at the Zeitenspiegel reportage school in Reutlingen . For years she has been a member of the jury of the News Enlightenment Initiative , supported by media scientists and insiders , the German counterpart to the US project Censored .
