Ingvill Måkestad Bovim
Ingvill Måkestad Bovim (born Måkestad ; born August 7, 1981 in Odda ) is a Norwegian middle-distance runner .
Måkestad Bovim took fourth place in the 800-meter run at the 1997 European Junior Athletics Championships in Ljubljana, eighth place at the 1998 Junior Athletics World Championships in Annecy and again fourth place at the 1999 European Junior Athletics Championships in Riga. At the U23 European Athletics Championships in 2003 in Bydgoszcz, she won the silver medal in the 1,500 meter run .
After that, however, it took Måkestad Bovim several years to establish itself internationally in the adult sector. At the European Athletics Championships in Barcelona in 2010 , she failed in the 800-meter run in the preliminary round. A few weeks later, she stayed under two minutes over this distance for the first time in her career. With 1: 59.82 min she ran the Norwegian record in a competition in Zagreb. At the European Athletics Indoor Championships 2011 in Paris, she missed the finals over 1500 meters. In the same year, however, she reached her first big final at the World Athletics Championships in Daegu . In the 1500 meter run she finished sixth there.
