Ingwer Paul (* 1953 ) is a German specialist in German .

Life

He studied sociology , education , German and English in Kiel and at the Free University of Berlin . From 1978 to 1979 he was Language Assistant in London . After taking the first state examination in 1982, he was a research assistant at the Free University of Berlin from 1983 to 1988 . After receiving his doctorate in 1988 (scl) at the Free University of Berlin, he was a research assistant at the Free University of Berlin from 1990 to 1997 . After his legal clerkship (1988–1990) and the second state examination, he was a member of the research group National Self- and External Images at the Center for Interdisciplinary Research from 1992 to 1993 . After his habilitation in 1998 at the Free University of Berlin, he was a teacher in the Berlin school service from 1998 to 2000. From 2000 to 2004 he was senior assistant at the Free University of Berlin. From 2001 to 2013 lectureships took him to Beijing and Nanjing . Since 2004 he has been teaching as a professor of media didactics (with a German and linguistic focus) at Bielefeld University . From 2011 to 2015 he was director of the Bielefeld School of Education.
