The Inklin River is the left headwaters of the Taku River in the Canadian province of British Columbia .
The Inklin River arises at the confluence of the Sheslay River and Nahlin River . It flows through the Stikine Plateau initially in a westerly and later in a northwesterly direction. After about 80 km it meets the Nakina River coming from the northeast, with which it unites to form the Taku River. The river system is fed by the Stikine Icecap . There are salmon in the river . Between the confluences of the Sutlahine River and Yeth Creek, the Inklin River flows through a canyon that has class III rapids .
