The Inner Harbor (English for Inner Harbor , inland port ; Spanish Puerto Interior ) is a small natural harbor in the group of Melchior Islands in the West Antarctic Palmer Archipelago . It is bordered in a semicircle by the lambda , epsilon , alpha and delta islands .
The descriptive name was probably given by scientists from the British Discovery Investigations , who roughly measured it in 1927. Argentine expeditions made further surveys in 1942, 1943 and 1948.
