Innisfail is a city in the Canadian province of Alberta .
The name comes from the Irish Inis Fáil ( Isle of Destiny ). At the 2009 census, the city had 7,883 inhabitants.
Innisfail is located on Highway 2 and Highway 54. Inis Fáil Airport is located northwest of the city.
The Daines Ranch Professional Rodeo is held annually in Innisfail .
