Institute for Quality Development Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania
The Institute for Quality Development is responsible for the training of teachers in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania , their advanced and advanced training as well as the further development of teaching at schools. Another field of work is the content design and organization of the central final exams. The institute is a direct part of the “Educational Planning and School Development” department in the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture .
The institute is based in Schwerin , Schmiedestrasse 8. There are also branches in Rostock, Greifswald and Neubrandenburg in accordance with the state school offices. There were 150 posts in the 2018 budget. In addition, there are many part-time technical managers who, in addition to tasks in teacher training, also give lessons in schools.

history
The previous institute was called the State Institute for Schools and Education (LISA) Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, founded in 1991 based on the model of the partner country Schleswig-Holstein . The dissolution of the independent institute and new appointment as part of the ministry took place in 2009 under Education Minister Henry Tesch .
