The intalliance AG was a joint venture between DB Bahn Urban and üstra based in Hannover . From 2004 to the end of 2006 it operated the light rail and S-Bahn traffic as well as a considerable part of the bus traffic in the Hanover region . Üstra and DB Stadtverkehr each held 40% of the company. NORD / LB held a further 20% .

The foundation of the company had been planned since the beginning of 2001. Synergy effects should be achieved in the area of ​​control centers, administration and workshops. Activities beyond the Hanover area were also planned.

Intalliance worked as a subcontractor for üstra and DB Regio , which hold the corresponding local transport concessions in the Hanover region. 1900 employees of the üstra AG and 285 employees of the DB Regio Region, Lower Saxony / Bremen, operation of the S-Bahn Hanover were left to the Intalliance. In addition, she was 100% shareholder of the Minden-Ravensberg transport company , Üstra Reisen and Wolters Busouristik. The fleet of intalliance AG comprised 318 light rail vehicles, 138 city buses and 46 S-Bahn trains.

The Intalliance also wanted to take part in tenders for local transport services in other areas. In the tender for regional transport services on the Uelzen - Hanover - Göttingen route, it was subject to the metronom railway company .

As part of the merger control , the Federal Cartel Office approved the merger in 2003 subject to numerous conditions. Among other things, should by the end of 2006, at least 30 percent of total regional rail transport of all bus transports are advertised -Services and by 2009 50%.

Operations started in January 2004.

On December 22nd, 2004, the Düsseldorf Higher Regional Court lifted the ancillary provisions imposed by the Federal Cartel Office. The Federal Court of Justice , however, confirmed the opinion of the Cartel Office in the last instance.

The partnership was therefore ended again on October 6, 2006. The transport services were taken over by the original operators from January 1, 2007.
