The Interbulk Trading SA , based in Lugano was an internationally active Swiss commodities trading - and logistics companies . It specialized in the global trade in cement clinker , normal and special cements , mineral products and solid fuels and, as a subsidiary of the Italian Italcementi group, formed the group's trading and logistics unit.

Interbulk Trading was founded in Geneva in 1994 as a trading unit of Ciments Français SA , which Italcementi took over in 1992 . In 2004 the headquarters were moved to Lugano. At the same time, activities were expanded to include logistics, especially ship transport . In 2005 there was a further diversification of business activities with the trading of solid fuels such as petroleum coke and steam coal .

In 2016, Interbulk was acquired by Den Hartogh , which ended Interbulk's listing in London. The company was then gradually integrated into Den Hartogh.
