International Berkeley Society

The International Berkeley Society (IBS) is a philosophical society devoted to the Berkeley philosophy and was founded in the United States in 1975 . She hosts international Berkeley conferences and publishes the philosophy journal Berkeley Studies . Presidents were Ray Houghton, Phillip Cummins ( University of Iowa ), Louis Alfonso ( Rhode Island College ), Ian Tipton ( Swansea University ) and Stephen H. Daniel (since 2006). Members include and include Wolfgang Breidert ( Germany ), Katia Saporiti ( University of Zurich , Switzerland ), Geneviève Brykman ( France , former Vice President), Nancy Kendrick ( Wheaton College , Vice President from 2013), Colin Turbayne ( USA ), Robert G. Muehlmann ( University of Western Ontario , Canada ), Timo Airaksinen ( University of Helsinki , Finland , Vice President from 2006 to 2013), Roomet Jakapi ( Estonia ), James Hill from the University of Prague ( Czech Republic ), Miłowit Kuniński from the Jagiellonian University ( Poland ).
